Word games generally speak to me, but Wordle has captured my mind, body, & soul & has kept me interested in returning to it each day to maintain my streak. Every day everyone playing is given six attempts to guess the same five-letter word. The game has now ventured into pop culture and is a quarantine staple. happy birthday Dolly Parton
January 19th is a special day - it’s the Dolly Parton’s birthday & this year, she turned 76. In honor of her birthday, she graced the world by posting a picture of herself in her bright pink birthday suit & in response, social media ignited in full Dolly support. Twitter learned that Dolly is a librarian who, in 1995, started Imagination Library to send a book a month to young children worldwide to increase their reading level before entering elementary school. She created her library to honor her late father who never learned how to read. Dolly was born as the 4th child in a family of 12 kids and is the first in her family to graduate high school. And lastly, she once entered into a Dolly Parton look-a-like contest and lost! I love her, she is so fantastic & I hope she took the day off as she typically works from 9 to 5.
